Description
|
circular trek in a mountain region rich in rivers and lakes. Accommodation in tents and three meals a day cooked over the camp fire, except for those served in the canteen at the base camps. Everybody carries its own luggage + 4/5 kg of common equipment, but it is possible to hire horses for luggage transportation.

1st day |
Flight Geneva - Moscow. Transfer to the domestic flights terminal. Flight Moscow-Barnaul. |

2nd day |
Arrival in Barnaul. Transfer to the base camp (850 m) by bus (about 12 hours). Accommodation, dinner, sauna on request. |
|
3rd day |
Meeting with the instructors and presentation of the base camp and of the region. Safety briefing, getting equipped and outfitted. Start of the trek (6-8 hours) and of the optional rafting (2 hours). 600 m altitude change. |

4th day |
14 km trekking. 900 m altitude change. Forest path leading up to a panoramic plateau, where, if the weather is good, the mount Belukha will be visible for the first time. |

5th day |
20 km trekking, 100 m altitude change. Descent to a lake’s shore. |
|
6th day |
10 km trekking. Moderate ascent. Crossing of a plateau with strange rocky formations typical of the region, steep descent to the river Tekel. Optional excursion to a waterfall. |
|
7th day |
15 km trekking on a plateau giving a new sight of the mountain range. 600 m altitude change. Crossing of the river Akkem on a rudimentary wooden bridge. Arrival to the second base camp. Sauna on request. |

8th day |
Free day with optional excursions in the surroundings. |
|
9th day |
20 km trekking. 1000 m altitude change. The highest point of the trek is reached (3060 m) with a very beautiful view on the mountains, if the weather is good. Arrival in a cedar valley. |

10th day |
14 km trekking among meadows and forests to the lake Kucherla. Altitude change 300 m. |
|
11th day |
16 km. trekking in the valley of the river Koutcherla. |
|
12th day |
Last part of the trekking in the valley of the Kucherla river. Arrival to the main base camp. Sauna on request and farewell dinner. |

13th day |
Transfer to Barnaul by bus (about 12 hours). Night at a hotel. |
|
14th day |
Transfer to the airport. Flight Barnaul - Moscow. Transfer to the international flights terminal. Flight Moscow - Zürich. |
