Transsiberian

From Europe to Asia it runs through the whole country (9298 km.), which remains the biggest in the world. Started in 1891 it was finished twenty-five years later because of the difficulties met mainly in the Eastern part.

The train will be an ordinary one,  the one which the Russians choose, it will not be conceived especially for the tourists. Therefore, it will give the opportunity to meet the local passengers and to speak with them. Although not expensive, the travel will be relatively comfortable, there will be a restaurant and it will include interesting visits in the main cities with museums visits. Besides the historical interest represented by the cities, the landscape will be particularly beautiful especially around the lake Baykal, the oldest, (25 million years), one of the biggest (1/5 of the earth fresh water) and the deepest in the world, the taïga (Siberian forest) and the Mongolian steppe. The beauty and the variety of the landscape will not allow the passengers to be bored.
