Description

Historical and cultural heritage sites in main Russian Western lakes and in the White sea. Opportunity to visit churches, monasteries and the gulag museum. Natural attractions as belugas and tundra-type vegetation are also part of the tour.

1st day |
Flight Geneva-Zürich. Flight Zürich-St. Petersburg. Pick-up at the airport in St.Petersburg, transfer to the train station. Departure by the overnight train for Petrozavodsk. |

2nd day |
Early morning arrival in Petrozavodsk. Meet by the guide at the train station. Transfer to the hotel. Breakfast. City walking tour. Departure for the Island of Kizhi and meet the museum guide there. Walking tour to the open-air Museum of Wooden Architecture. Departure back for Petrozavodsk. Overnight at the hotel. |

3rd day |
Departure for the White Sea coast (~450 km to the north). Visit to the Kivach Waterfalls and Nature Reserve. Tour of the White Sea – Baltic Canal or walking tour to Petroglyphs. Arrival to the White Sea coast in the evening, night at the hotel. |

4th day |
Departure for the Solovetsky Islands by the morning boat (travel time is about 2.5 hours). Arrival at Solovetsky Island, transfer to the hotel. Walking tour to the Solovetsky Monastery, Fortress and the Gulag Museum. Beluga watching tour, boat or shore-based. Night at the hotel. |

5th day |
Boat tour to Zayatsky Island. Return to the main island. Transfer to the pier. Departure by evening boat to Kem. Departure by the night train to St. Petersburg. |

6th day |
Train to St.Petersburg. Arrival in the evening. Night at the hotel. |

7th day |
Flight St. Petersburg – Zürich. Flight Zürich-Geneva. |
